at School
Do something BALD this school year
Every single day, 8 Kiwis are diagnosed with blood cancer.
That means, chances are that someone in your school community has been touched by this disease – whether it’s a family member, friend, or classmate.
Your fundraiser will show them they’re not alone. Fundraising at school is an amazing way to stand in solidarity with Kiwis facing blood cancer while raising vital funds to support patient care, research, and advocacy.

Host a Shave event!
Gather your friends, bring the energy, and join hundreds of students across Aotearoa who are stepping up, standing strong, and raising vital funds to help find a cure for blood cancer. Your event can happen anytime that works for you and your school.
Here’s how it works:

Register your school to host a shave event.

Gather your shavees
Recruits students, teachers, or even parents who are willing to go bold with a new hairstyle to raise funds

Spread the word!
Use posters, social media, or school newsletters to encourage your school community to get involved and donate.

On the big day
Set up a stage or central area for your shaves. You could invite local hairdressers, ask for a teacher or principal to join in, or turn it into a fun assembly event.

Celebrate your impact!
Share stories, thank participants, and let everyone know how much you’ve raised to help Kiwis living with blood cancer.
